Goku was sent to earth as a baby to destroy it but bumped his head and forgot his mission. About a year later he meets Bulma who runs him over with her car (talk about a bad case of road rage). And just when you think he's had a bad enough day Goku gets up unhurt and Bulma shoots him!!(I wouldn't have beleived it if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes). But yet again Goku escapes injury (I'm surprised she didn't throw an atomic bomb on him this time.). Bulma tells him of the dragonballs and Goku joins her on the quest. After db ends Goku settels down and marries Chi Chi. They have a son named Gohan and another named Goten. Later in DBZ Goku fights Buu and dies, in death he is given the potara earings and convinces Vegeta to fuse with him. He is granted life and emerges as Vegetto. Vegetto is absorbed and Goku and Vegeta rescue their fellow warriors and break out of Buu. The fusion is cancelled and Goku defeats Buu with a Genki Dama, after the fight Goku returns to heaven. After that DBGT begins, Goku is revived on good behavior and goes to visit home. But one of his old enemy Pilaf had gathered the black-star dragonballs and wished him to be a little kid.
