Well the Tonnami Reactor has been something that hasn't been the main issue in my sick little twisted mind as of late. But after browsing through MANY dbz sites I've seen no reviews of the Toonami Reactor. So since Dbz Destruction isn't like other dbz sites were going to give you the low down on the Toonami Reactor. The review will be broken down in differn't views. The view of the average dbz fan who can't speak japanese and look at the origanal uncut episodes the view of the 'hardcore' dbz fan who either has seen the japanese version or claims to have seen the japanese version of dbz and my own personal view.

My personal view:
As of 4:31 PM 4/19/01 I'm trying to play their dbz game Mission to Namek. The intro pic of Goku holding his hands over his chest looks computer drawn and a little crappy (considering I've seen the very same picture that was scanned instead of computer drawn.). The game is actually very fun. I'm surprissed Toonami came up with such an interesting game. The only flaws with the game was the fact the Goku's hair doesn't change when he transforms to supersaiyan and that at the ending there were two Kami's also Trunks wasn't even thought of in the Frieza saga. My personal score was 1,492,300 it's a little weak to some of you game wizards out there but I'm better at the actual control rather the mouse. But now onto the main feature.
The episode is a tad slow on my puny 56k but so far the ep intro song is very choppy. More of the same after the main song ends, It's probably just my slow connection but if you have a 56k I suggest you watch the episodes on T.V. instead. I haven't even gotten through the first ten minutes(T.V. minutes, by actual minutes it would be around fifteen) of story and I'm already convinced about the review. I can honestly say I won't be back for the next update of episodes. My 56k gives me basicly pixilated images and stop and go animation. If I knew nothing about dbz untill I viewed those episodes I'd be completely lost and confused. The captions under the screen slightly help get your bearings but even with them if someone who knew nothing of dbz tried to view it they'ed be lost in pitch black darkness. The only thing that's good about the reactor is the layout and game. But there is something I'm interested in is the fact that their asking if they should put up other animes such as Neon Genesis Evangelion, Trigun, and Cowboy Bebop. I honestly hope they don't edit the episodes of those great animes if they put them on the web but more chances than not they are. If they aren't Reactor could be the best place for free unedited full episodes of those great animes but if not it could be the deaths of the animes themselves as a whole. The Toonami Reactor is teetering on the cusps of being extremely bad and extremely good. I myself as a dbz fan and probably soon to be Trigun fan can't stand to see such low quality episodes put on the web for the 56k'ers. But my grandmother has a T1 and once I get over to her house next time I can give you a cable speed review. I had hoped for the Toonami Reactor to be a success but unfortunately it looks like it's going to turn the other way. If Toonami edits those other episodes we might as well declare anime dead in the usa.

Average fan possible review:
The episode was slow. They need more episodes on the Reactor, I've seen all those. It was exciting looking at the episodes on the net considering I don't have a T.V. in the computer room. But I prefer the T.V. it was just to slow. I haven't heard of those other animes but I'd like to see them on the web if they don't put them on T.V..

'Hardcore' anime fans possible review:
I'd rather watch Barney than that egotisticle sh**! Not only was the episode of low quality but it was and I use the term loosely when I say it was even WORSE than that crap they show on T.V.. Not only did I lose the will to live after watching that but now I've lost hope for Funimation and Toonami. For Gods sake don't even consider those other excellent animes for the Reactor. I'll have to kill those fatcats at Toonami and myself first. The Reactor should be shut down and shut down NOW!

Those last two reviews were for humor basicly but I have to say myself I'm not comming back for Star Blazers. Toonami needs to show the uncut ones on the web then maybe it will work. Dbz Destruction gives the reactor a rating of:

3 stars (based on a 1-10 system)
Summary of rating: Good idea gone wrong.
