Vegeta was a saiyan prince. He first lived on the planet Vegeta. Vegeta was held prisoner on Freiza's space ship while Freiza killed his father and his home planet. After the planet was destroyed Freiza and two othe saiyans who survived named Radditz and Nappa became Freiza's slaves. Vegeta went to earth to find the dragonballs Piccolo had spoke of over Radditz's scouter. When he arrived Goku was making his way back to earth along snake way. Vegeta sat back and watched as Nappa desposed of the majority of the z warriors. Goku arrives in time to save his son and he fights Vegeta to keep him from getting the dragonballs and wishing for immortality. Vegeta loses the fight and just barely escapes being killed because Goku told Krillen not to kill Vegeta with Yajarobes sword and let him live on. Vegeta makes it into his space pod and takes off for a local space port. He makes it there by staying on life support and is rushed to the rejuvinating tank. He recovers and takes his ship to planet Namek. He lands on planet Namek and races to gather the dragonballs before Freiza. Unfortunately for him the z warriors get the dragonballs first and wish Piccolo back to life and transport him to planet Namek. Vegeta fights Freiza in what seems to be an equal match in the beggining. Freiza transformed to his second form and things were outmatch between Vegeta and Freiza. Freiza eventually kills Vegeta, Although Vegeta is wished back with the dragonballs. Vegeta is also transported to earth, Vegeta lives with Bulma for a little while and they have a baby together (at least you can't say Vegeta doesn't get around (-_^)). Bulma names him Trunks and Vegeta goes off to train on another planet. While protecting his ship against meteors Vegeta is serouisly hurt. He is inraged at the fact that he can't become super saiyan and that Goku (or Kakkorot) has always been stronger than him. Due to his anger something sparks inside and he transforms to the super saiyan level. He returns to earth and fights the androids. He is beaten by #18 and is left with a broken arm. Vegeta is given a senzu and later fights Cell. He outmatches Cell and lets Cell absorb android #18 to become complete (possibly the dumbest decision in all of Dragonball Z.). Cell outmatches Vegeta and nearly kills him but Vegeta is saved Trunks, who also loses to Cell. Vegeta helps Gohan defeat Cell by knocking Cell off balance and returns to his normal lifestyle. Vegeta is then pursuaded to become a Majin and fights Goku. Vegeta wins but decides to return to the good side again. Vegeta knocks out Trunks to keep him from interferring. Vegeta self-destructs in an effort to destroy Buu but Buu isn't hurt by it and Vegeta dies. In heaven Goku recieves the Potara earrings and later convinces Vegeta to fuse with him. They become Vegetto and they kick around buu for a little while but then they are sucked into buu's pores. This cancells the fusion and they are returned to normal again. Vegeta crushes the Potara earring and decides never to fuse with Goku again. They rescue the other warriors and they telaport out of buu. Goku later defeats Buu with a giant Genki Dama (Spirit Bomb) and all is peaceful once again.
